Your reliable partner to finding your long term rental in the Algarve
Long Term Rental
Tell me about your ideal home, your preferred locations, must-haves, and budget and I’ll take care of the rest. I work as intermediary with those who are looking for a long-term one year minimum lease as required for residency permit.
Utilities Set Up
I handle the transfer of all utility accounts, including internet services, and provide guidance on the best available options so you can choose what suits you best. I also manage in-person follow-up to ensure timely installation.
Personal Shopping
My personal shopping service is perfect for those who want to settle in without the stress of a first-day market run. I take care of purchasing the essentials, ensuring your new home is stocked and ready for a smooth arrival.
Why choose Realnest
“In the Algarve, most property owners prefer to capitalize on the summer tourism boom by offering short-term rentals, making their properties available for long-term rent only from September to May. I understand these challenges, I’ve been through them myself. Living in the Algarve gives me the advantage of meeting homeowners and agents in person and staying closely involved on the ground.”

The appreciation that keeps me going…
About me
Hello! I’m Katia, I was born and raised in Brazil, and in my early 20’s, I set out to explore the world landing in Canada, where I lived for 25 years. In 2018, I took my first vacation to Portugal and, like many others, instantly fell in love with this beautiful country.
A few years later, I began the process of applying for residency through the D7 visa. The paperwork was manageable, until it came to the part of finding long-term accommodation from thousands of miles away, by far largest upfront expense of my process. Thankfully speaking the local language gave me the leverage to find the long term-rental but still the unknown from the contract legality and the property itself was done through a leap of faith.
My goal is to turn the faith into solid ground so you can trust the process with confidence and peace of mind. I speak fluent both English and Portuguese, and I’m committed to making your move feel less like a leap and more like a welcome to your new home in Portugal.
